It sounds to me as if something else is going on there. I would assess it and maybe it\u2019s a matter of just placing fillings, but changing the preparation of the hole, basically, the cavity prep. You have to prepare the cavity in a certain way, depending on the position on the tooth and depending on what tooth it is, to maximize the longevity of that filling.<\/span><\/p>\n If it\u2019s a case where maybe you\u2019re grinding really aggressively and say you\u2019re wearing through the filling material and it\u2019s ultimately chipping or breaking out for that reason, again, you\u2019ve got to address the issue and figure out what the cause is and then go from there. It might require a full-coverage crown.
