Dr. Jonathan Cook DMD
Dr. Cook was born and raised in Gaithersburg, Maryland. After high school he attended Florida State University where he graduated with honors with a degree in Biological Sciences. Upon graduation he moved to south Florida and attended Nova Southeastern University School of Dentistry during which he was invited in consecutive years to attend a dental mission trip to Jamaica to help treat those with no access to dental care.
At graduation, Dr. Cook was awarded The Southern Academy of Prosthodontics Award, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry Award, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Since graduation Dr. Cook has worked throughout south Florida expanding his skills and knowledge working with some of Florida's top dentists";
Dr. John DeStefon DMD
Dr. John DeStefon is proud to be serving the residents of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County with thoughtful, personalized general and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. John combines the latest technology with compassionate dental care to help patients of all ages achieve healthy, beautiful smiles.
After earning a bachelor's degree with honors at the University of Florida in Gainesville he earned his doctorate in dental medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Prior to joining private practice he gained clinical experience treating those in need in public health.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Broward County Dental Association. With the goal of providing comprehensive dentistry in the most effective, efficient, and comfortable manner, Dr. John has committed 100s of hours of continuing education in many areas of dentistry including, cosmetics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
Dr. Robert Glen Seraita DDS
Dr. Seraita's commitment to dentistry was solidified from the moment he realized his calling as a dentist. With a Doctor of Dental Surgery from New York University College of Dentistry and a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science (Minor in Chemistry) from the University of Delaware, he is extensively trained in all facets of dentistry, with a particular focus on Cosmetic Dentistry.
Understanding the profound impact of a smile, Dr. Seraita recognizes it as a universal symbol of happiness and a vital connector between people. He is deeply moved by the plight of those who refrain from smiling or feel self-conscious due to dental issues, and is dedicated to helping them regain their confident smiles.

Dr. Ethan Dunn DDS
Dr. Ethan Dunn is a dedicated cosmetic dentist, originally from Cleveland and now proudly based in Miami. He earned his dental degree from the NYU College of Dentistry, where he graduated with honors in aesthetic dentistry. Dr. Dunn’s passion lies in elevating smiles and transforming lives through his craft.
Now practicing at JJ Dental, Dr. Dunn continues to pursue his commitment to aesthetic dentistry with precision, skill, and an unwavering dedication to excellence. His work encompasses a wide range of cosmetic dental procedures, tailored to meet each patient's unique needs and goals.

At graduation, Dr. Dunn was awarded the Dr. Bernard E. Rudner Memorial Award for excellence in clinical performance, the Society for Color and Appearance in Dentistry (SCAD) Award in Aesthetics, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, an honor reserved for the top 12% of each graduating class.
Dr. Joel Baez
Dr. Joel Baez is a fourth-generation dentist on his mother’s side. Throughout his childhood, he told everyone that he was going to be a dentist when he grew up—even before he knew what it meant to be a dentist. In college, he began shadowing dentists and fell in love with dentistry. Following dental school, he did a residency in San Antonio, Texas at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System, where he was afforded the opportunity to practice ideal dentistry.
At the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System, Dr. Baez focused on didactics and clinical skills in a setting that was focused solely on dentistry. Here, he was able to do optimal treatments on his patients, having the unique opportunity to practice ideal dentistry for an entire year. Using this experience, he always presents the ideal treatment plan to his patients so that they can make the best, most informed decisions about their oral health.
The combination of cutting-edge science and genuine human connection continues to inspire Dr. Baez to provide his patients with the exceptional care that they can expect at Restorative and Implant Dentistry.
As a standard, Dr. Joel Baez uses scientifically-based dentistry; there is a rationale for everything that he does, and each treatment plan is backed up by science. In an effort to continue giving his patients high-quality, innovative care, Dr. Baez is dedicated to continuing his education and remaining up-to-date on the latest advancements in implant dentistry.

He is continually excited by the biomechanics of implant dentistry and the fact that he is able to replace organs, teeth, within 3-4 months. Changing people’s lives and reversing years of wear on people’s teeth in such a short period of time has a profound impact of Dr. Baez, and he is driven every day to provide high-quality, innovative dental care to each one of his patients.
At Restorative and Implant Dentistry, Dr. Baez always looks at the mouth and teeth as an entire apparatus to understand the issue comprehensively. As a result of his comprehensive approach, he is able to help his patients with the entirety of the issue, not just the symptom, to ensure long-term oral health. The American Dental Association (ADA)
The American Dental Association (ADA) exists to empower the profession of dentistry and to assist it's members in advancing the overall oral health of their patients. Together with over 163,000 members, they have been driving dentistry forward for 160 years. The ADA is also a strong advocate for public health – fighting oral cancer and combating the opioids crisis – and they are teaming up with industry partners to help patients stay healthy from the dental chair to daily care at home.
The Florida Dental Association (FDA)
The Florida Dental Association (FDA) is a state constituent of the American Dental Association (ADA), which represents dentists throughout the country. Florida has six district dental associations that represent the interests and activities of dentists in those areas. Each district association is comprised of affiliate (local) societies that have separate membership policies and programs, but typically work in conjunction with their district dental associations. As such, they function as what is called a tripartite (three-part organization). By joining one level, doctors get the benefits of all of them — the “Power of Three,” which underscores the mission of the ADA, FDA and its district associations to “help members succeed” by delivering programs, services, continuing education and advocacy to maximize value and service on every level.
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD)
The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) is dedicated to advancing excellence in the art and science of comprehensive cosmetic dentistry and encouraging the highest standards of ethical conduct and responsible patient care. The AACD offers superior educational opportunities; promotes and supports a respected Accreditation credential; serves as a user-friendly and inviting forum for the creative exchange of knowledge and ideas; and provides accurate and useful information to the public and the profession.
The AACD includes more than 5,000 dental professionals, laboratory technicians, educators, and researchers from 70 countries worldwide. This global perspective allows AACD members to gather information from the international field of cosmetic dentistry. With the formation of the Accreditation and Fellowship Programs, the AACD offers the most stringent and respected postgraduate certification in cosmetic dentistry to both dentists and laboratory technicians.
The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID)
Founded in 1951, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) is the first professional organization in the world dedicated to implant dentistry. Its membership includes general dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, periodontists, prosthodontists, and others interested in the field of implant dentistry. As a membership organization, they currently represent 4,000 dentists worldwide.
The American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) works together in order to develop a collaborative and inclusive environment. They are focused on developing a patient-centered philosophy around excellence and compassion. Their sole intention is to uplift the profession of implant dentistry and to make it welcoming and accessible to all communities. Through their educational offerings and credentialing program, they provide valuable expertise in the field of oral implantology; expertise that ultimately benefits the patients that dentists serve.
Their mission is to advance the science and practice of Implant Dentistry through education, advocacy, and research support; and to serve as the credentialing standard for the profession. The Foundation supports students and researchers through their many research grants.
The Southern Academy of Prosthodontics Award
Essay contests were held for senior dental students beginning in the early 1970’s. This was later changed to the awarding of a plaque to the outstanding senior dental student in the area of prosthetics from each of the Schools of Dentistry within the Academy’s geographic borders. This award continues today supporting excellence in prosthetics. To receive this award is acknowledgement of a student being the best in not only his class, but in all classes, in all schools within the area.
The American Academy of Implant Dentistry Award
As the leading organization in implant dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry is the home of the leaders in the profession. The Academy and its Foundation have recognized the accomplishments of clinicians, researchers, students, and volunteers in the field of implant dentistry through various awards.
Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society
Omicron Kappa Upsilon is a national dental honor society founded for the purpose of encouraging scholarship and advancing the ethical standards of the dental profession. Members, elected from the top 20 percent of the graduating class, show potential for professional growth and serve as examples among their peers. Students who, in addition to scholarship have demonstrated exemplary traits of character and potential qualities of future professional growth and attainments, may be elected to alumni membership by the active members of this component chapter.
