Question number six. At what age do I start taking my kid to the dentist? The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends taking your child to the dentist by the age of one or within six months after the first tooth erupts. Baby teeth begin growing in around six months of age, now if we’re being realistic it can be tough to bring in such a young child to the dentist.
Just know that by the age of two most kids will have their baby teeth. So certainly by the age of two, you’ll want to have them see the dentist, just to check to see that everything is normal.
